Hi Ian, my interest is primarily around two specific instances/models of social ventures; leveraged non profits (external donor monies invested towards a unique and innovative way of addressing a social cause/problem) and social businesses (for profit ventures with intent to reinvest in furthering of the social cause/problem). Within the concept of Social Ventures, as entities looking to create innovative solutions for social good, I am right now primarily interested in tech/mobile driven ideas

You should check out Toronto’s Centre for Social Innovation at http://socialinnovation.ca/ or http://twitter.com/csito …. they have some very interesting support programs for social entrepreneurs
