social media experiment that we are hopeful will facilitate interactions/introductions amongst the event attendees. Besides terrific presentations, we want your TEDxCarletonU event experience to include an opportunity to network with other changemakers like yourself.
As noted in a previous blog, “curating” an event such as TEDxCarletonU involves much more than selecting cool speakers and managing logistics. As Curator of TEDxCarletonU, I wanted to create a positive experience for attendees not only with respect to the presentations but also in the quality of the networking opportunities with other audience members. Since there is limited ”face-time” available for networking during the event, I thought to use the versatility of social media tools like Twitter to “connect and engage” audience members prior to the event itself …
